Genesis!

Genesis is a sweet girl. She looks up to her big sister and is very close to all of her friends in class. Genesis is also one of the girls you can always count on seeing, she is great with coming to the club and being here on time!

Anamilka!

Quick to volunteer and answer or opinion, Anamilka is quite the emerging leader! She never runs away from competition, but like any kid doesn't like to lose and is working on her temper! Still, she is quick to bounce back and has a loving and happy smile!

Genesis - June!

This summer we've had lots of crazy stuff going on, and the kids are having so much fun! We've had groups of volunteers come for single days, volunteers comes and stay for months at a time, people come in for specific classes, all sorts of things! Here is a picture of Genesis and one of our long term volunteers, Samantha, who was here for a month from the middle of May to the middle of June. We had a great time with Sam and the kids really love her! Here you can see her and Genesis pictured. We're having a great summer, so far and we know it's only going to get more and more fun leading up to school starting!

Anamilka - June!

This summer has been so busy, yet so wonderful for the kids! They love having club 5 days a week and spending so much time with each other, their teachers, and our volunteers. We are having a great time, and learning lots while we're at it! The jewelry class is really taking off and here is Anamilka showing off one of her coffee bean creations - one that will be sold to the public, volunteers, anyone interested and the money will go right back into the club and the kids for support! The kids are so excited to be helping!

Anamilka: Salon Work

One of the longer term goals for Dove is to teach the kids vocations so that as they grow older, they can support their families. These older girls are interested in working in a salon. Conveniently, there is one located right near the Center. The girls are very excited to learn how to work in a salon, as you can see from their big smiles! Anamilka will take part in this program.

Pool Party!

Liz, along with Jencen and Jenny (two Canadian volunteers in the DR for 2 weeks) took the girls of the Girls Club to a pool party, and Anamilka and Genesis were able to attend! Anamilka is in the yellow bathing suit, and Genesis is in the blue and pink striped shirt.
